Need to know the name of a shrub. It has deep reddish purple leaves, no green. Grows rapidly. small flowers.?

Stems are rather thin, and the tiny pinkish flowers in spring don't last long. It's growing very fast.

If your description were more complete it would aid in ID. This sounds like a purpleleaf sand cherry (Prunus x cistena). Are the leaves about 1-1 1/4" long? Blooms for 1-2 weeks in spring? That could be it. You could Google it by clicking Images to be sure.
Reply:The moronis saxatilis (hybrid striped bass). Enjoy
Reply:Also could be a great shrub called "nine bark", I forget the botanical name
Reply:caricature shrub ( pending where you live )
Reply:could it be bear berry -- these have thorns and are deciduous, shed their leaves in fall
