Why do my flower flop over? Purple coneflower and sedum?
Because they are sad.
Reply:Either their flowers are too heavy, the wind blew them over or they need water desperately. If it were my garden I would suspect the Labrador laid on them.

Sometimes tall flowering plants need support. If they're in a windy spot you can buy supports or use natural supports like bamboo canes with twine tied between them or even a nice tree branch stuck in the ground can support.
Reply:yes, what 65% said, just get a stake, (2-4 feet tall, depending on your flower,) put in the middle of the plant, then tie the plant around it, it doesnt have to be tight, just to keep it upright
Reply:I love your avatar! You could stake them of course you could also look for some new hybrid types that don;t flop. Staking plants is such a pain.
Reply:Any tall flower can flop. Many of them have to be staked.
