I have a plant with purple leaves,thick stems and yellow flowers with maroon tops but no petals .?
Sounds like you have a cross between a Crocus and a Poinsettia. My advise is to take good care of it, and go to the library and search
all the book you can, or take it to or call you local college {Horticulture Dept} and see what they can tell you. Mabe you have something no one else does. Do not give it to anyone, sounds really pretty. Good luck, wish I could see this mistery plant!
