What kind of flowers would make a nice purple bouquet?
Lilacs have a wonderful scent and hang nicely..and purple columbine was gathered by pioneers for bouquets
Reply:base on the colour you shown
to have a full purple bouquet is not really nice.. cos it may look dull. the in-thing nowsday is to mix it up to bring the purple out rather than to have combination of similar colours...
here is 2 combination of flower I think it is nice and have place the colour next to them
combination 1 )
-%26gt;calla lilies (deep purple)
-%26gt; freesia (pink)
-%26gt;purple lisianthus
-%26gt; light blue hycainth
combination 2)
-%26gt;Wine sweet peas ( or replace with purple-white edge lisianthus)
-%26gt; cacil brunner roses ( rose buds which is soft pink in colour), you can replace this with white lily-of-the-valley or small white flowers)
-%26gt; blue thistle ( blue purple )
-%26gt; cosmo ( dark purple.. )
if you are in a budget ... it is always good to just choose 1 floe and make it into a large bouquet .. it looks up-class, simple and beautiful..purple flower tend to go eith blue-purple or red(purple), ahve your pick
purple flower
-%26gt; lavender ( light blue pruple)
-%26gt; tuilps ( dark red-purple)
-%26gt; calla lilies ( dark red-purple)
-%26gt;freesia ( light purple)
-%26gt; lisianthus ( dark blue purple to light purple )
-%26gt;sweet peas( light blue purple )
-%26gt;roses ( light purple)
Reply:depending on what you're using the boquet for, if it is a casual just because boquet purple violets or mountain hyacinth are a deep purple but small flowers and quite short-stemmed. Ummm, also something called a "spider flower" are very unique and very pretty. I don't know the latin name for them but I grow them in my flower bed and gets tons of compliments on how interesting and pretty they are. If it is more of a formal type try the purplish shades of roses and/or orchids.
Reply:Depends on the purpose of the bouquet. If that picture you have posted is of a fabric for bridesmaids then you need something that can stand up to a beating on wedding day. Iris blossoms are too delicate for that. If it's for inside, like for decorating a room, then an arrangement of silk flowers would be great. You can have your pick at a craft shop like Michael's or a department store like Wal- Mart. Take a swatch of the fabric when you go and you'll be able to match and contrast at will. Just be aware that the lighting can make a difference in how the colours look.

Reply:Purple ... do all the flowers have to be purple because there are a lot of flowers and colors that go well with purple.
Purple flowers- Lisiathus, purple stock, purple hydrangeas, purple roses, purple daisy... a lot of flowers come in purples.
other colors that would go great with purple are white or greens ... you could even put pinks and corals with it.
Reply:I have to tell you, purple flowers are my all time fave! My backyard has tons of purple Lobelia (not sure how they would work in a bouquet), lilac, purple daisys (they have some white also, %26amp; look stunning next to the darker purples) Irises, lavender (smells good, but it would depend on what the bouquet was for)
This is a link I found that has lots of pictures of purple flowers:

Blossom would be wonderful if its spring.
Enjoy creating your bouquet.
Reply:lisianthus, anemones, french tulips, asters, zinnias, dahlias, violets, irises(although you do have a brite yellow stripe in those), tricillium
Reply:My personal choice is lavender. It not only looks good, but it smells good, and if left in the vase without water will dry and continue the aroma and still look pretty.
Reply:Purple Lisianthus: you can find these at most floral shops.
