What are good flowers to use for a purple and green wedding?

My colors will be a light purple and green, I like the rose, Silver Star but wanted some more purple and green ideas to go with them.

Reply:hydrengas are beautiful and come in a variety of colors. hycanith is also beautiful and comes in a very nice purple (and the aroma is amazing). Congrats on the wedding....my brother and sister in law (who got married yesterday) used cala lillies and they were so beautiful. Good Luck!!!!
Reply:ASTROMERIAS (don't know about that spelling) they come in sooo many different colors, they're beautiful, they're inexpensive, and they last for a long time, so you can enjoy them for nearly 2 weeks after the wedding. the best thing is that you can get different shades of green and purple to make awesome arrangements.

There is a bright green mum called a Kermit Mum which is hot right now





Alstromeria comes in dozens of colors....even light purple and you might find a nice match to your colors

Reply:We are using hydrangeas for our wedding -- the blue ones specifically, but they also come in purple and green. Iris' are also purple and quite pretty.

Reply:Have you tried Gerberas? They are a beautiful bright colour and they come in just about every colour you can think of. Thet are a really 'happy' flower because of their brightness. This is the type of flower I used for my wedding and was perfect!

For bouquets- purple roses- they now come in about 6 shades of purple and are huge and gorgeous- mixed with greens babys breath and whatever other white flowers you like--I personally like the newer style with the ribbons just around the stems--or you can do lilacs for centerpieces with other white flowers and greens...........roses hold up the best
Reply:nosegays, violets, pansies. I am using lilac and yellow and found a beautiful bouquet using nosegays and butter roses. Congrats.
Reply:I don't know much about flowers, but I'd say either white roses, or peace lily's, or jsut any white flower, or get the colored roses and lilys are really pretty, and come in many colors...
