Liatris, of course you know that particular type is purple, but they are also available in white and pink. Liatris are one of the only plants the bloom from the top down as opposed to bottom up. Most also grow to be about 3 feet in height.
A lady told me her pretty purple flowers in her yard were called"gay Feathers", whats their botanical name?
